Sketch Dump

Unlike other artists with blogs, mine seems to be heavy on words, light on art. Some folk see their blogs as extensions of their portfolios really, but as you may have surmised, this is really just a blog about stuff, though often it's about art if not necessarily actually art. But as this post is already running high on the word count, I thought I'd leave you with some sketches.

These are drawings done in preparation for paintings (Magic, in this case). These were all done in pencil then scanned and composited to make digital grayscale studies for approval before painting. I don't have a place for my sketches on my actual website and so unless you see them at a convention or signing (where I usually bring them), you aren't likely to otherwise.

Sadly, though from recent releases, they are at least a year old now. I can't show this stuff prior to release. Just imagine what stuff is being worked on now that you might see a year from now!

Sage of Epityr: I was asked to add Time-Spiralish goggles for the final

Sprite Noble: Helmet added, hair tamed, right arm repositioned and gave her more of a homeless look for the final.

Martyr of Sands: I don't title these, folks
